Awais is Chief Executive Officer of MDI and also serves as a co-founder of AWS Capital, the principal investor in MDI. Awais has a wealth of experience in helping small to mid-sized businesses grow. His experience in private equity offers astute business acumen across many disciplines and industries, especially in the area of strategic operating plans. Previously Awais worked at Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc. and has a Master of Business Administration from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics: Actuarial Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, both from The University of Texas at Austin.
Danny Campbell joined Management Data, Inc. in 1984 after 12 years of data processing and insurance company management experience. He served as Vice President of Data Processing for a major life insurance company during a period of rapid transition and expansion; including a change in mainframe vendors, acquisition and development of new systems, significant expansion of programming staff, and extension of computing capabilities to remote locations. He has experience in the development of systems for corporate accounting, valuation, insurance administration, and work management/image processing.
Shannon manages MDI's Billing, Accounting, Administration, Developers, and Technical staff. Her experience and leadership are focused on developing and delivering a quality product, providing outstanding client service, and driving profitable revenue growth. Shannon has an MBA in Accounting and over 30 years of experience working in various aspects of financial administration. She joined MDI in 2001 and has served MDI in many positions.
Melissa Gerrits started her career at Humana in 2007 and while there gained experience and knowledge into the workings of the insurance industry. Since Melissa moved to MDI in 2015 she has used her expertise to provide the highest level of service to MDI clients. Melissa received her Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI) designation in 2018 providing a deeper understanding of the insurance industry. In her current role she manages the resources that provide solutions to our clients and ensures that delivery meets the expectations of our clients.
Brandon has been with MDI since 2002. He is responsible for the development, management, installation, and maintenance of internal and external network infrastructure for MDI. Brandon has extensive experience with Windows, Linux, UNIX, VMware, Veeam, Cisco, and integrating support with a variety of database management systems.
Jeremy joined MDI in 2021 as Vice President of Business Development. Before MDI, he spent the last twenty-two years in the insurance technology market specializing in business development and sales growth for life and health policy administration software-focused companies including iPipeline, Concentrix, and IBM. He is a graduate of Webster University with a Master of Business Administration and Master of Finance degrees in addition to a Bachelor of Science – Information Technology degree from Maryville University.
